About Chris Tompkins
Hello! I’m Chris Tompkins. I have been a photographer with my husband for 20+ years. It was truly his passion and one that I grew to love.
For 15 of those years, we enjoyed making kids smile with our mobile event photography doing Santa Claus and Easter Bunny photos at various locations. We found Sebring in 2017 and began a relationship at Lakeshore Mall. I opened a couple of photo studio locations and used my creativity focusing on families and children's portraits. Of course, I also provided portraits for pets, seniors and business headshots.
In 2022, God blessed us with a lakefront property in Avon Park and knew that it was perfect for photography. Two months later, my husband suffered a stroke, lost his ability to speak complete sentences and has a short-term memory. I have tried to cope and finally realized that as his caretaker, he needed me more at home and not in a studio. I took the months of June through December of 2023 to regroup and learn to cope with taking care of husband, home and income. I was able to find a full-time position with remote work at home which provided a steady income but also allowed me to be where I was needed most, by my husband's side. So I put my photography on hold, while I restarted my life.
Towards the end of 2023, I started to feel the urges to create beautiful memories again and have new ideas forming for portrait experiences. In 2024, I will once again be using the creative and artistic talents that God has given me to capture the beauty in front of me!
